The beginnings of a band are usually less glorious. When the band started in 2006 to shake the world positively with fast-paced and high-pitched anthems, the stages were so small that half of the musical conviction offenders fell behind. Today, three studio albums and a good 700 gigs later, including shows in China, Japan, and busy festival stages alongside THE POGUES, FLOGGING MOLLY, DROPKICK MURPHYS, and THE LEVELLERS, the troupe has long been an internationally acclaimed folk-punk band. With their new album, ‘The Desire For Revenge’ (release 2nd March 2018), MR. IRISH BASTARD start into the second decade of their existence with the energy of freshly delirious music crazies. ‘Get Out’ is the first new song by the Scottish electronic pop trio since the release of their second studio album ‘Every Open Eye’ (2015) and was developed in cooperation with the Grammy-honoured producer GREG KURSTIN (i.e. ADELE, BECK, LIAM GALLAGHER). The band states that working with Greg was different to anything else they’ve done so far. According to the band, it was very pleasant to work with him and they felt as if he was already part of the band for ages. He listens and gets the best out of the band without pressing them into a certain direction. - Details

The band was founded in 1989 by Bruno Kramm and Stefan Ackermann in Bayreuth and was one of the most important representatives of the “Neue Deutsche Todeskunst” (trans.: “New German Death Art”) in the early 1990s.
