They are doing it again! Katatonia, the Swedish purveyors of dark progressive rock/metal, have revealed details of their eagerly awaited 10th studio album – The new album, entitled The Fall of Hearts is set for release on the 20th May 2016 through their long-time home of Peaceville Records. The official follow-up to 2012’s acclaimed Dead End Kings was recorded at Stockholm’s Studio Gröndahl & Tri-lamb Studio, and was self-produced by Anders Nyström & Jonas Renkse. Mixing and mastering duties were carried out by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Ihsahn, Devin Townsend) at Fascination Street Studios, with Karl Daniel Lidén (Switchblade, The Ocean, Greenleaf) brought in as engineer. The dramatic yet desolate artwork was created by long time Katatonia designer and illustrator Travis Smith.- Details

Twenty-four years ago, two Gothic people from Leipzig had an unusual idea: They didn’t want to create yet another dark music festival but rather a supra-regional gathering of like-minded fellows for relaxed meeting, chatting and celebrating. When the 1st Wave-Gotik-Treffen took place in 1992 at the edge of Leipzig with about 2,000 visitors and just a handful of bands, it is unlikely that anyone imagined that within a few years the WGT would become the largest meeting of Gothic people in the world, taking possession of a whole city every year at Whitsun.

Hurts, Tüsn & Miamigo
The British synth duo HURTS came out of nowhere in 2010 and dominated instantly the international charts. Their debut ‘Happiness’ as well as the overwhelming singles ‘Wonderful Life’ and ‘Stay’ remained in Europe's hit lists for months and got numerous gold and platinum awards. Theo Hutchcraft and Adam Anderson were the protagonists of an artistic movement which transported the ideals of the 80s into the present with their elegant style between new wave, synth sounds as well as melancholic zeitgeist pop.

They are back! Three years after the debut ‘Still Smiling’, TEHO TEARDO & BLIXA BARGELD release their new album ‘Nerissimo’, showing once more the ling-time artistic and personal relationship. The artwork for the album was inspired by the painting “Die Gesandten”, created in 1533 by Hans Holbein the younger. The topics of the painting – philosophy, religion, mortality and illusion – are also included in the album ‘Nerissimo’, being the Italian superlative for black.
