Winter time, the dark time of the year, a mystic time for dreams, legends and fairy tales! Berlin-based band Blutengel, pioneering the fusion of dark, fantastic Gothic-sounds and lively Electro Pop for more than a decade, has established the nice, little tradition of dishing up a fitting sound track for the magical Christmas season in form of an exclusive single release every year. This year’s goodie, ‘Promised Land’, recorded with a fresh and new line up, will be released on November 26. as a limited maxi CD and an even more strictly limited vinyl version. The title track, a perfect melange of dark pomp and an ultra-catchy melody on a rock-solid beat will be included on ‘Promised Land’ in a single-version as well as in three different remixes (one of them from CHROM) and can easily stand in line with the greatest hits of the charts-accustomed group. The b-side ‘A Miracle’ is an elegiac ballad that is sure to melt you away. And the best is: none of the tracks included on this sonic gem will ever be released on any album! Listening to their tunes doesn’t exactly give an implication of where a band is coming from. In case of STANFOUR it couldn’t be more far-fetched to locate them to America. The band’s been formed in Germany with two of the founding members being brothers Alex and Konstantin Rethwisch who’ve been living and working in America a while before the band started. There you have the reason for the American influences.

On 5th November, A LIFE DIVIDED, already celebrated by the press as a darker and deeper version of LINKIN PARK, will release their single ‘Heart On Fire’ preceding the album ‘Passenger’, released in January. Following the release of the video teaser for “Dualitet & Ulver” (“Duality and Wolves”), Norwegian Viking Metallers HELHEIM are streaming the whole track on their MySpace page at http://www.myspace.com/helheimnorway.
