Even though this German band doesn’t exist for such a long time, the victory march they’ve been doing in that rather short amount of time is remarkable to say the least. Already the first album ‘Alles auf Svhwarz’, released in 2005 became a major success and was followed up by touring with the likes of SONDASCHULE, LOIKAEMIE, BOMBSHELL ROCKS and EL*KE.

With the news of a MORGOTH reunion in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of their classic “Cursed” album spreading, the anticipation and excitement regarding a comeback to stages for this seminal German Death Metal act continues to grow. In the past weeks, the resurrected band has been confirmed to appear at several notable open air festival events for 2011 in Germany. Here is the exact list of dates announced so far:

After the massive success of their 'Sängerkrieg' album and the bestselling 'Am goldenen Rhein' DVD/CD bundle, IN EXTREMO have found themselves at the head of their game and have been working hard on their new album over the winter. To coincide with the release of this in February which kick starts their “Sterneneisen Tour” in April, the guys from IN EXTREMO are doing a series of shows at a select amount of hand picked clubs and venues that month. This includes the Matrix in Bochum, a legendary gig venue for quality artists.

At the official homepage, the veil on the artwork of the upcoming album ‘The Unforgiving’ has been lifted. The intriguing cover of comic artist Romano Molenaar (Witchblade, Darkness, X-Men) is the perfect visualization of the concept album, based on the eponymous comic novel of director Steven O’Connell (BloodRayne and Dark 48) and which is a whole new approach of the band. WITHIN TEMPTATION guitarist Robert Westerholdt comments: “The main characters of the comic reflect the characters of our songs. The concept motivated and inspired us to break new grounds regarding sound. The result is us having written our best songs so far."
