The Norwegian black metal formation SATYRICON was founded in 1990 by Sigurd “Satyr” Wongraven, Håvard “Lemarchand” Sørensen, Vegard “Wargod” Blomberg and Carl Michael “Exhurtum” Eide. Since 1994, the band has been consisting of Satyr and Kjetil “Frost” Haraldstad who are supported by additional musicians live on stage. By releasing the debut album entitled with `Dark Medieval Times´, SATYRICON caused quite a stir in the scene as they combined black metal with acoustic guitars and flutes. Generally, their music was able to impress critics and fans as well due to varied stylistic influences making SATYRICON´s work appear multi-faceted and innovative.

The Blackfield festival 2010 is on record course and the early birds offer is drawing close to its end. There are only 100 tickets left for the reduced price at our shop. Afterwards, the regular presale starts. So who wants to secure themselves a ticket and save 10,- EUR should do it now, as we assume the tickets will be sold-out on Monday at the latest.

Vocalist Floor Jansen (REVAMP) will perform a special show on 27th December 2009. She writes: "The Dutch venue P60 in Amstelveen (The Netherlands) asked me and the Red Limo String Quartet to come and perform our special show!!! So, ones more After Forever songs will be played by this string quartet with arrangements made by Joost van de Broek (After Forever). Don't miss it!"
