For more than two decades the quintet GOOD CHARLOTTE has been known as the spearhead of the US Pop-Punk movement. The five boys from Waldorf/ Maryland are not only co-founders of this special genre, which domesticates the desert Punk for the broad radio, they are also the most successful formation ever to emerge from this genre, along with THE OFFSPRING. Over eleven million albums sold worldwide and numerous awards like Kerrang! Award, various MTV Awards and one MuchMusic as well as one NRJ Music Award each, prove their exceptional position.
The fact that their international success can’t be affected by a long break was proven recently: Before releasing their last album so far, the band took a five-year break; nevertheless, the ‘Youth Authority’ released in 2016 immediately entered the charts high again worldwide. In September 2018 the seventh album, ‘Generation Rx’, was released and is presented to the crowd with an extensive world tour.
