ironmaiden futurepasttour2023After the announcement of the headline show in Wacken in August 2023, which sold out in record time, IRON MAIDEN are bringing their brand new “The Future Past Tour” to five cities in Germany next year. The show includes songs from the current studio album ‘Senjutsu’ that have not yet been played live, the focus is on the cult album ‘Somewhere In Time’ from 1986 and other classics. From Wednesday, October 26, 2022 – 10:00 a.m., the ticket providers MyTicket and CTS Eventim will be offering presales. The general advance sale starts on Friday, October 28, 2022 – 10:00 a.m. As usual, there will be an exclusive presale for members of the IRON MAIDEN fan club starting Monday, October 24, 2022 – 10:00 a.m. Visit www.ironmaiden.com for more information.

Founding member and bassist Steve Harris says: “After the release of our last album ‘Senjutsu’, we updated the current “Legacy of the Beast Tour” a bit by opening the show with the first three songs of the album, with the set design of the Japanese Palace. Since it doesn’t make much sense to do this again for a ‘Senjutsu’ album tour, we considered other options and decided to revive ‘Somewhere In Time’ as this tour was not included in the various retrospective history tours we have played over the years. These were based on our concert videos from the 80s and unfortunately, we didn’t film that tour (the manager’s fault!). We’ve had many requests from fans for many of these songs over the years, so we’re going to play them now, and of course a few others that we know you’ll enjoy! It will also be extra satisfying to finally be able to play some of the more epic tracks from ‘Senjutsu’, we’ve been waiting for this for a long time! 2023 will be an exciting time. We really enjoyed the shows in Hanover, Frankfurt and Munich on the Legacy tour and can’t wait to come back and also to Dortmund where we haven’t played since 2016 and Leipzig which we last visited in 2005.”

Manager Rod Smallwood adds: “We’re very excited about the combination of the two albums. We know fans want to hear the epic tracks of ‘Senjutsu’ live for the first time, and we think combining it with an iconic album like ‘Somewhere In Time’ adds another very special tour for fans old and new! Of course, we will be returning largely to the relative intimacy of the arenas for the European and UK tour for the new album and we know fans will be very happy about that too! We look forward to the return to Germany which has become very special as the fans there have made our last four studio albums #1 and we played to an amazing quarter of a million fans on the ‘Legacy Tour’!”

The band is currently in the final stages of their spectacular “Legacy Of The Beast World Tour” in North America, which has been paused for two years by covid with many shows being postponed twice. The tour actually started in Tallinn, Estonia in May 2018, the first of 139 shows in 33 countries. By the final show in Tampa, Florida on October 27 of this year, the band will have played to over THREE MILLION fans on this epic world tour. Support for the German shows will be announced at a later date. Further dates for “The Future Past Tour” are yet to be announced, but no further German cities will be added. All Europe dates and updates at www.ironmaiden.com. As in previous years, there will be opportunities to enjoy the Trooper VIP experience at many of the venues.
