That Japan is hosting an increasingly vibrant music scene also in the heavy metal area should come to no surprise to anyone monitoring the music scene. Examples of this include BABYMETAL that have stirred things up on festivals throughout the world with their crazy mix of Japanese lyrics and Thrash Metal / Metalcore elements. CROSSFAITH are another example of this development.
Having formed back in 2006, their fusion of Metalcore with dubstep and other electronic elements has earned them a reputation of their own, especially when witnessed live, as this mixture unfolds its full energetic potential during gigs. Does this somehow remind you of ENTER SHIKARI? Yep, you are not completely wrong, as the two bands are friends. ENTER SHIKARI front man Roy Reynolds is featured on the track ‘Freedom’ of CROSSFAITH’s brand-new album ‘Ex_Machina’, which has just been released beginning of August. Concertgoers can look forward to a good portion of oriental ass-kicking and vicious circle and mosh pit activity inside the cozy Gebäude 9.
