As the rapper has now confirmed, he will also stop in Germany on his “I Wanna Thank Me” tour, on which he will play his biggest headline shows to date in February next year. SNOOP DOGG has been one of the most famous rappers on the west coast of America for a quarter of a century. With his West Coast Rap, he not only shaped the youth of the 90s, but also paved the way for many of his musical stragglers.
For his current and now 17th studio album “I Wanna Thank Me”, a documentary of the same name was released not long ago, in which the Hip-Hop veteran looks back on 25 years of SNOOP DOGG and his undisputed influence on the Hip-Hop scene cemented.
SNOOP DOGG, since his discovery by Dr. Dre, came a long way in the early 90s. As impressive as today’s Rap icon presented himself when he was heard as a guest rapper on Dre’s 1992 album ‘The Chronicle’ - at that time nobody could have guessed what global fame he would later achieve as an independent rapper. Now, 25 years later, the self-titled ‘Doggfather’ can look back on a successful and at the same time turbulent and exciting career. SNOOP DOGG was always willing to experiment and changeable. In addition to the music business, he also made a name for himself as an actor and businessman.
Since his debut ‘Doggystyle’ in 1993, SNOOP DOGG has been known for his songs like ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ feat. Pharrell Williams, ‘Wiggle’ feat. Jason Derulo or ‘California Gurls’ feat. Katy Perry firmly anchored at the top of the international charts. Over the years he has found numerous supporters and contributors who have supported him in his work. For his “I Wanna Thank Me” tour in spring 2022, SNOOP DOGG has recruited a selection of the most important comrades in his legendary career: Warren G, Versatile, Tha Dogg Pound, Obie Trice and D12 will accompany SNOOP DOGG in the coming year and be with him perform on stage.
