The event has been rescheduled from 1 June 2020 to 21 September 2022 due to the current measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 virus. Tickets already purchased will remain valid.
SHORTPARIS are already being hailed by the international press as “the best Russian live act”. The band from St. Petersburg around charismatic front man Nikolay Komiagin has already made a name for itself with their breathtaking performances and dark, electronic soundscapes. Whether sung in Russian, French or English, their songs are sometimes angry, sometimes thoughtful, often very political and always multi-layered and incredibly intense. They always take up topics that are not only topical in Russia.
“You know, I keep dreaming of meeting bands like SHORTPARIS, but it’s so rare,” writes John Doran of The Quietus. “Ambitious, bombastic, incredibly pretentious, erotic, exciting, impossible to pin down, vaguely deviant, fun to dance to and full of revolutionary potential. Sure, if you listen closely enough you can hear them laughing, but it would be foolish to make the mistake of assuming they’re joking.”
