Richard Ashcroft is coming back with his fourth studio record ‘These People’ which will be released on the 20th May on his new label Righteous Phonographic Association which is distributed by Cooking Vinyl. The first single of the record, ‘This is How It Feels’, was presented exclusively on an English radio station and is available on all known platforms from now on.

‘These People’ is the artist's first record after six years – he has already received two Brit Awards and an Ivor Novello Award and was nominated for a Grammy. The record, which was recorded in London, was produced by Ashcroft with his long-time musical partner Chris Potter. It also marks the reunion with Wil Malone. Ashcroft once wrote the string arrangements for The Verve's successful records ‘A Northern Soul’ (1995) and ‘Urban Hymns’ (1997) as well as his own solo debut record ‘Alone With Everybody’ (2000),which was awarded platinum in UK and which was highly critically acclaimed, with Malone.

Ashcroft, who truly has one of the most unique and remarkable voices of the British music world, links ‘These People’ to his early recordings while he experiments with adventurous new sounds, textures and topics at the same time. The record proves once again that he is one of the most influential and astonishing songwriters of his generation. Ashcroft did some rare and unannounced live performances at the end of 2015 by playing acoustic sets in Zurich and Bilbao and providing the Corona Capital Festival in Mexico in November with a celebrated solo performance in front of 30,000 people.
