
The “Chaos in Motion” tour led the band all around the globe. DREAM THEATER played 115 shows in 105 cities in 35 countries on 5 continents in front of hundred thousands of fans. ‘Chaos in Motion 2007/08’ is the newest of the DVD series, documenting the live shows of the band during the whole tour, other than the last 3 platinum DVDs ‘Metropolis 2000: Live Scenes from New York’, ‘Live at Budokan’ and ‘Score’ only showing one concert each..
Drummer and creative director of the DVD Mike Portnoy provided his own personal footage to please the fans with the ultimate tour souvenir. He assembled over three hours of material, comprising of complete live performances in Rotterdam, Buenos Aires, Toronto, Boston, Bangkok and Vancouver. Kevin Shirley mixed the songs and breathed new life into them. The second disc is packed with bonus material like promo videos, Live projections, a photo gallery and a 90-minutes documentation, giving the spectator the feeling to be in the tour bus themselves by giving an intimate insight into the life of the band and their crew on tour; Effectively a virtual backstage pass.
