Recently, the frosty days of Russian winter in December were warmed with the visit of two wonderful bands, DIORAMA and JANOSCH MOLDAU. Our reporter visited both performances to share the impressions with you and tell how stunningly it was.

Phillip Boa and the Voodooclub & Emilys Giant
Pop, Rock, Avant-Garde, high energy and music from the heart, these are the themes for tonight as PHILLIP BOA AND THE VOODOOCLUB invite their fans to the Zeche Bochum, by the way one of my favourite clubs. The concert is sold out and I am expecting a terrific night at a packed venue. The German musician and his band are accompanied by EMILYS GIANT who are going to add some indie vibes. Drizzling rain follows me on my way to the club but inside the Zeche, it is comfortably warm and the stage is set up for the band. Red lights shine down on me as more people arrive and the small venue gets crowded.

The Answer & The Dead Daisies
It is time for another hard rock night, this time at the Matrix in Bochum. The club is well known for parties and concerts and it is a venue with a great atmosphere if the gig takes place in the tube - as it is the case tonight. It is freezing outside, the temperature below zero, but in the tunnel, it is already getting hot as people are waiting for THE ANSWER and THE DEAD DAISIES, two bands who have joined on a co-headline tour. Brick walls, dim lights, and a small stage greet me. The club is packed with people. Tonight’s first band are THE DEAD DAISIES. I cannot wait to see them.

Killing Joke & special guest: Death Valley High
KILLING JOKE are back and as active as if they had never been away, as if there were no breaks in the career of these legendary British post-punks. Still as thrillingly doomy and apocalyptic as ever, the JOKE returned to the fray with original members Youth, Jaz Coleman, Geordie Walker and Paul Ferguson. Incorporating a few more technological innovations, but basically the same band that made ‘Wardance’ and ‘Love Like Blood’. On a misty night in Cologne, this legendary band rocked Die Kantine with a revisit of their awe-inspiring back catalogue and played some newies. Glamorous American quartet, DEAD VALLEY HIGH opened the evening as guest band.
