Within Temptation

Dutch symphonic metal band WITHIN TEMPTATION does not need much introduction. Perfected example of gothic-symphonic style with distinct vocals by Sharon del Adel made the band, perhaps, one of the recognizable in the whole genre. The latest album, ‘The Unforgiving’ from 2011, was a stylistic experiment that raised controversy; though for me personally the band made its biggest triumph on the ‘Silent Force’ release. The band makes staged music videos, often themed around some brutal crimes and their punishments by supernatural creatures, made of the band members. I'd guess it has to do with the concept of last album that was made after Steven O'Connell comic stories. Next album is well underway and due to release in autumn 2013, and lately WT went ahead both remixing other's band music and giving their music for re-processing. http://www.within-temptation.com / https://www.facebook.com/wtofficial

Trivium & Special Guest: We Butter The Bread With Butter

US Heavy Metal band TRIVIUM from Florida was formed in 2000, releasing five studio albums and numerous singles so far. In February 2013, the band started working on their sixth studio album and is currently putting the finishing touches onto it. The album is produced by no one less than DISTURBED front man David Draiman. A release date for the album is not set yet, but was there something new already in Bochum? We’ll see…

It was already hot on that summer Sunday when we woke up. And during the day, it nearly became unbearable. Bright sunshine and temperatures far beyond 30 degrees Celsius were awaiting us at the Tanzbrunnen. Luckily, there were some points where you could fill up your bottles with drinking water and besides, the security were also providing water for the people in front of stage. Early, short before twelve, the first band of the day entered the stage in the Staatenhaus.

Bad Religion “True North Tour” - Support: The Ghost Rockets

More than 30 years of Punk Rock - BAD RELIGION are one of the most influential bands in this genre. With their current album ‘True North’, which was released in early 2013, BAD RELIGION have shown once again that they still do for what they are known. Mostly short, melodic and pithy songs which are more than a simple "Punk Rock Song". Time, then, to come over to Europe again to play some new songs besides classics that have certainly influenced many bands.
