LIZZARD, on the other hand, showed themselves in captivating form on ‘Eroded’ and delivered their best album of their career.

Parkway Drive - European 2022 Tour

Finally! After more than two years of waiting, the time finally came on Tuesday. The Australians from PARKWAY DRIVE returned to the Grand Duchy after their last visit in 2019. With them: the new record ‘Darker Still’ which was already released on 9th of September. But even long-time PARKWAY DRIVE fans were able to enjoy some older songs on this rainy Tuesday evening at the Rockhal.

BLIND GUARDIAN are a Power / Speed Metal band from Germany. The band intended to tour in 2021 celebrating the 30th anniversary of their legendary album ‘Somewhere Far Beyond’ but had to postpone the shows twice due to the pandemic situation. Farin Urlaub (guitar and vocals), Bela B (drums, vocals and guitar) and Rodrigo Gonzalez (guitar, bass and vocals) form one of the most iconic German Rock bands: DIE ÄRZTE! All three perform and write their own songs. Due to Corona they had to postponed their tour several times but now they can finally launch their “Buffalo Bill in Rom” Tour 2022. The spacious Maimarktgelände is a great location for an open-air concert and DIE ÄRZTE were not alone on stage. As support you could see DRANGSAL who is also an awesome German singer songwriter who is known for his New Wave, Post-Punk and Indie-Pop songs. In addition, the Norwegian Rock band LÜT was on stage.

The Mittelalterlich Phantasie Spectaculum in Luhmühlen is one of the biggest and the finale of this year’s MPS season. Whoever plays here has the opportunity to significantly expand their fanbase and become known in the mediaeval music scene. SALTATIO MORTIS, for example, one of the headliners today, started here almost 20 years ago on the smallest stage and now fills entire halls. The two main stages were played alternately, only the two headliners SALTATIO MORTIS and SUBWAY TO SALLY will play at the same time.
