Dean is guitar player in the London-based Metal band PARABYSS. Heavy and melodic unleashing progressive and groove-based guitar riffs and roaring vocals - so the band describes their music. PARABYSS is currently working on their debut album and I hope we can listen to it soon. But let’s go back to our main topic, tattoos, because Dean has amazing pieces of art on his skin and I want to know more about them.Reflections of Darkness [RoD]: When did you get your first tattoo and what was it? Did it take much time until you decided to get it done?
Dean:I think I was 25, when I got my first tattoo. It’s of an angel, and it was based on a friend of mine because of her stage performance name. I sat on the idea for a couple of months before getting it, to make sure I was happy with the design, as I’ve had many ideas for tattoos and didn’t want to regret it.

Today our guest is Alexandre, singer of the Metalcore band ACROSS THE DIVIDE from Paris. But it is not all, he is owner, producer and engineer at Avalone Studio. A few days ago, ACROSS THE DIVIDE has released a new video, ‘Lost’, from the new album ‘Disarray’, which was released on 2nd of December. Really interesting and great job. Reflections of Darkness [RoD]: When did you get your first tattoo and what was it? Did it take much time until you decided to get it done?
Alexandre: I got it when I was 20. An old school “flower wings” on the chest. It doesn’t take me much time I was just waiting for the good moment, when I was sure to have enough money and maturity.

Our guest today comes from Czech Republic. Tom is bass player of band SKYWALKER. The band describes themselves as Modern Rock outlet combining heavy riffs, crushing breakdowns, and sweet melodies with honest and personal lyricism. End of the 2021 the band will go Europe “Late Eternity” tour and special guest will be GHOST IRIS. But now we will talk about our main topic -amazing tattoos.

Tom: When I was 18 and the very first one was a star with a spiderweb around on my elbow.

Tom Noir is vocalist and bassist of the Goth Rock-Doom band OCTOBER NOIR from Pensacola, Florida and burdened with heavy influence from TYPE O NEGATIVE. In the following interview, he will tell us more about his tattoos. Reflections of Darkness [RoD]: When did you get your first tattoo and what was it? Did it take you much time until you decided to get it done?
Tom:I was 34 when I finally decided to sit in the chair. I remember being 19 and stepping into a shop to have Michaelangelo’s Green Man inked. The image I brought was apparently too small to work off of, so the lady says, “but we have one on the wall just like it!” I entertained her suggestion but it looked like a child’s drawing. I immediately walked out of there and never returned.
