Music as a cure and story-teller, as a good friend and companion in life is, and that’s what ROBERT CARL BLANK wants to create with his songs over the years. On his third release ‘Last Time I Saw Dave’ he definitely reached this stadium of composition… There´s honestly no song that can not to be counted as a pearl on a necklace. This album is like the perfect soundtrack to a road trip, I´ve been just imagining me driving down the Route 66 for an endless time while listening to this great masterpiece of music. Seems like 20 years of constantly making music and being support of blues legend Carl Weathersby pays off for BLANK who was born in Czech Republic in 1975 and is now living in Frankfurt. Very strange arrangements full of ambiance, weaving between melancholy, vitality, brooding and simply enjoying the circumstances of existing - that´s the bottom line of this release, I think. It´s an album written by the heart and the mind. I´m pretty sure, that this is gonna be the accolade for ROBERT CARL BLANK - the portals of the singer’s / songwriter´s Elysium are pushed wide open…
