Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton, UK
10th April 2009
The Rasmus, Backyard BabiesIt’s always interesting to visit a new venue and this one held many surprises, not the least being the amazingly friendly and helpful staff. The hall itself is somewhat old and a little dog-eared here and there, but it’s a proper Hall in which to hold gigs, with good acoustics, facilities well planned and a really buzzing ‘old school’ atmosphere.

Letzte Instanz, Van Canto
On 27th February, the Dresden-based band LETZTE INSTANZ released its ninth album `Schuldig´ containing 13 songs in German language. The musicians can be described as a formation that represents a mixture of Folk Rock, Rock and the so-called “Brachialromantik” (a German expression for brute and at the same time romantic sounds). Right after the release, the septet went on “UnSchuldstour” through Germany and was able to find out whether the album’s songs also gained a great reception live on stage.

It was another sunny spring day in Stockholm. Doors at that day opened already two hours earlier than the day before. But most people preferred still to enjoy the beautiful day, so the queue was rather short. Du to illness, DIE FORM sadly had to cancel their appearance on short notice. With only four bands to be performing, the schedule was modified a little and the first band was set to start at 20:00.

De/Vision, Janosch Moldau, X-Divide
According to the tour’s title “20 Jahre live – Electronic Set”, DE/VISION has been a very successful Electro Pop representative in Germany. The formation that consists of Steffen Keth (vocals) and Thomas Adam (keyboards) guarantees a constantly catchy and danceable sound that fills up the clubs´ dance floors; just remember the guys´ hits such as `Try to forget´, `Hands on my Skin´, `Blue Moon´ or `I regret´. Furthermore, the band has always enthused due to its courage to be open-minded concerning the further development of its sound. In 2000, while DE/VISION was recording the album `Void´, the band members brought electric guitars on board, whereas the band had been known and loved for Synth-based music before. In 2007, they went back to their roots and released the more electronic long-player `Noob´.
