Eivør - European Tour - Support: Luna
Eivør Pálsdóttir has many devoted fans - her music and shows are like a balm to sensitive souls who find comfort and energetic sparkle in her sounds. This early winter, Polish fans were given a chance to warm up with her magic three times - the tour included Wroclaw, and let me say, it was the fire. The tour was initially planned for late autumn, but it had to be rescheduled due to some changes. I was actually quite happy the concert took place at all and was not cancelled like so many others. In Wroclaw, we had a chance to see the final show of EIVØR for this year - the happier I was to see the last fireworks of the concert year of one of most favourite artists.

John Smith Rock Frozen 2021 Day 2 with Stratovarius, Amorphis, Samy Elbanna, Omnium Gatherum, Rotting Christ, Bloodred Hourglass, Mors Subita
I already missed summertime festival feeling a lot, when I boarded the train from Lahti to Jyväskylä and I was really looking for a good mix of all kinds of Metal music. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it there in time for taking pictures of MORS SUBITA, but I can assure you, that their gig was really great.

Hämeenlinnan Kirkko, Hämeenlinna, Finland
2nd December 2021
Apocalyptica
The train took me from Helsinki to Hämeenlinna to a winter wonderland and after a 10 minutes’ walk, I arrived at Hämeenlinnan Kirkko that was beautifully illuminated outside. People had gathered outside the church and were ready to present their tickets and the corona-pass if necessary. Inside you were free to choose a seat and everybody was wearing a mask, so the overall feeling was really safe. There was a small mix-up, because somehow my name didn’t show up on the list with the approved media for tonight, but staff solved the problem within a few moments, when I presented my documents. I found a good seat in one of the front rows and at 8 pm sharp the lights went out; blue light illuminated the stage when the musicians took their seats. http://www.APOCALYPTICA.com/

Festival Synestezje 2021 with WaluśKraksaKryzys, Baasch, Patryk Pietrzak
Krakow is a kind of city full of different festivals and art events. Audience is quite spoiled in this question and has got a very varied choice where to go, pay money or go free of charge. Of course, during the lockdown everybody got hungry for cultural events and autumn appeared to be a very hot music season. Every event matters and is very important. So, “Synestezje” Festival is not the exception. The concerts were combined with art exhibition. Two art academies’ students (Academy of Art and Theatre Academy) got together to create something more than a festival, but a celebration of art.
