Counterfeit & Support: Vukovi
If you have never heard about COUNTERFEIT, you definitely have seen Jamie Campbell Bower - as vampire Caius from ‘Twilight’ saga, or young Grindelwald in ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ or demon hunter Jace Wayland in ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’. In the band, Jamie is trying himself in new role - as front man of a Punk-Rock band. This evening was meant to be special in two ways: musicians were going to play new material from their second upcoming album and devoted fans from Polish fun-club prepared surprise action during ‘It gets better’. Scottish Pop-Punk band VUKOVI from Ayrshire joined COUNTERFEIT as warm-up act during the European tour and opened the evening in Warsaw’s Progresja.

Empathy Test & Special guest: Sono
Halloween night in Hamburg also meant this year a fulltime show of EMPATHY TEST at the Bahnhof Pauli venue right at the well-known Reeperbahn that is also famous as red light district. Besides of that this area is actually even more popular among tourists and locals as the place to go out on weekends (or weekdays as you wish) - with uncountable number of bars, restaurants, kiosks, clubs and also many concert venues.

Iris & Special guest: Telemark
Originally this was supposed to be an AESTHETIC PERFECTION show with IRIS as special guest, but due to the illness and strict rule of the doctors for Daniel Graves to rest and not to sing for a couple of days as it would ruin his voice for a lasting time period, AESTHETIC PERFECTION had to cancel this leg of the tour. So IRIS stepped up from special guests to the headliner and Elliott Berlin from AESTHETIC PERFECTION took over the special guest slot with his solo project TELEMARK.

Moonspell with support from Rotting Christ & Silver Dust
The great thing about the Islington Assembly Hall is that it’s only a five minute walk away from where I live. It’s so close in fact that I can pop home between bands to change my clothes and have a quick cup of tea if I chose before walking back up to take in the next band. Originally opened in the 1930s for the hosting of variety acts, tea dances and meetings it closed in the mid-1980s, remaining dormant until 2010 when it was refurbished and opened as an 800 capacity venue.

Lebanon Hanover, Hante. & Box And The Twins
End of October, trip to Leipzig from Hamburg over Berlin and another new location that I haven’t been to yet despite the eight years attendance to the Wave-Gotik-Treffen and also a bunch of other concerts in Leipzig. I also almost got lost while trying to find Conne Island after a walk of about 15 minutes from the tram station into an area that became more and more industrial and at least in the darkness of the October evening seemed more lost.
