Rise of the Northstar, Dope D.O.D.
The Grand-Duchy was pleased to welcome the crossover legends at the Kulturfabrik on Tuesday night. Part of the programmatically titled “This Is Crossover” co-headliner tour are RISE OF THE NORTHSTAR and the Dutch Aggro rapper DOPE D.O.D. - the tour takes the bands through France, Italy, Switzerland, Holland and as already said to our little country Luxembourg. What’s the similarity between those two bands? An obvious Punk attitude! And if RISE OF THE NORTHSTAR plays a dirty and powerful mix of metal and Hardcore, Dope D.O.D. can easily hit the spot with its destructive beats and a completely crazy world.

Drangsal & Pabst
The hall of the venue quickly fills up with a dense crowd in front of the stage. Since the concert is about an hour off, many of the visitors take a seat on the floor. Today, it was a much younger audience than two years ago in Münster. Less Wave enthusiasts and more Hipster teens. How much the music of DRANGSAL has changed, I learned a little later.

Peter Murphy & David J - “40 Years of Bauhaus”
One of the factors that enables the concerts to have such huge an impact upon the audience results from the artist’s ability to combine marvellous music, scenic decorum, hypnotic performance and interaction with the audience into one in such a way the magnetism and charisma overflow and invigorate the listeners. The very fact of sharing the energy and building up vibrating, exceptional atmosphere is the other. While I take part in such events I can truly appreciate the sense, meaning and importance of artistic output and presentation certain masters in music demonstrate.

Marteria & Casper - “Europa Bambaataa Club Tour” 2018
MARTERIA and CASPER do not only share the year of birth, 1982, but also large overlaps in the audience. Both of them have already broken out of the pure Rap cosmos and are now filling arenas. So a combined album could be a clever marketing move. In November, MARTERIA & CASPER will bundle their enormous live energies and will provide six club shows across Europe for international total demolition before they play next summer five big “Champion Sound Open Airs” with plenty of hits and buck in their luggage. One of these club shows took place last night in the capital’s favourite concert venue Den Atelier.
