ASP - “Zaubererbruder - Der Krabat-Liederzyklus Live & Extended”
On this cold autumn day the location was nearly full, even fuller then at the last time ASP played in Berlin. ASP are a real institution in the Gothic subculture. Founded in 1999 in Frankfurt am Main by Alexander “Asp” Spreng (vocals) und Matthias “Matze“ Ambré (guitars), ASP have published ten albums; their first in 2000. Ambré left the band in 2011 and was replaced by Lutz Demmler. The drummer Oliver Himminghofen was also substituted by Stefan Günther. ASP have released their eleventh album, ‘Zutiefst’, in autumn of the last year, but at this tour, they announced to play their whole double album ‘Zaubererbruder - der Krabat-Liederzyklus’. This album treats of the ancient Sorbian legend about a boy who has to serve an old and evil magician until he acquires himself enough power to destroy his master and free his fellow servants.

Alcest & Vampillia
After an amazing sold-out co-headliner tour with MONO in 2016 and guest appearances at ANATHEMA shows in 2018, the French band ALCEST came back to German stages to play the ‘Kodama’ album in full length. With the pushing Blackgaze and Neige’s remarkable voice, all concerts are something special. Especially on this evening the mood was great and the sold-out Turock was bursting at all seams. VAMPILLIA and ALCEST were at their best and created one of the most memorable concert evenings.

Goethes Erben - “Am Abgrund” Tour 2018
It’s been about exactly 11 years ago that I saw GOETHES ERBEN for the first time live on stage. But back then I also thought that was going to be the last time as well, as we were attending the very last of the three goodbye-shows in K17 in Berlin on 15th September 2007. I was not a big fan before, but joined my partner back than as I was curious to see them. I just turned 18 in 2007, in the Gothic scene for about 4-5 years at the moment and knew GOETHES ERBEN already as the band / project that was a legend.
