The first thing LORD OF THE LOST announced was the “Homecoming” tour 2022, with various dates all over Germany, but they had searched in vain for a date in their hometown. Hamburg was simply forgotten, we thought. However, the LORDS would not be the LORDS if they did not have something special up their sleeve for their hometown. And so, a short time later, they announced the first-ever LORDFEST. This was the actual homecoming and a golden ending to a great year for the guys around Chris Harms. To celebrate the day, LORD OF THE LOST invited their friends from AESTHETIC PERFECTION, END OF GREEN, TAG MY HEART and also performed a special LORD OF THE LOST set together with ASP.

To end the year with a banger, the Finns from AMORPHIS joined Swiss band ELUVEITIE for a big co-headline show at the Rockhal. Also in the luggage were DARK TRANQUILLITY and NAILED TO OBSCURITY. The latter, however, played so early that it was unfortunately not possible for many spectators to see them from the beginning.

The end of the year brought some really great shows to Oslo. We’ve been witnessing if not sold out then really well visited gigs of MACHINE HEAD, ARCH ENEMY, AMORPHIS and many other famous bands playing both as headliners and special guests. The concert of IN FLAMES was a great closure of 2022.

Wow, what an amazing live event! The Felsenkeller in Leipzig was sold out. With this excellent line up, I didn’t expect anything else. NAILED TO OBSCURITY, DARK TRANQUILITY, ELUVEITIE and AMORPHIS together in one night was just a dream come true. Wow, this concert evening at the sold-out Haus Auensee in Leipzig was a blast! The 4-band line up was an incredibly good one! I saw the first two openers ORBIT CULTURE and IMMINENCE the first time. If you have the chance to see one or both live, you should go to the concert. You won’t be disappointed. They are very good live bands.
