The final pieces for Graspop Metal Meeting 2012 are slowly falling into place. In keeping with our GMM tradition, the lineup for this summer is once again a wonderful mix of tradition and innovation. Last Friday’s additions THIN LIZZY, PRIMAL FEAR, POWERWOLF, RIVAL SONS, TRACER, SUICIDAL ANGELS and DEAR SUPERSTAR are joined by BRUTAL TRUTH.
With SAILLE and ABORTED we are proud to welcome two Belgian bands to the biggest metal party in the Benelux, while MAYAN and HEIDEVOLK are representing our northern neighbours this summer. Heidevolk even sings in Dutch so we’ve got a pagan metal party to look forward to at GMM2012!
Our overall programme keeps growing every year so there’s no chance to get bored at Graspop Metal Meeting. Twenty-five bands are scheduled on Friday and Sunday; on Saturday the fans have a choice of twenty-seven metal acts. If you’ve got energy to spare after twenty-plus bands on four stages you can always head over to the Metal Plaza. On Thursday, you’re all invited to our little ‘Best of the Best Metal Albums of all Time’-bash in the Metal Dome on Thursday. Just keep in mind that the access on Thursday is reserved for combi ticket holders.
This year we’re moving the Metal Dome stage to a new and larger marquee to give us more options in the sound and light department. Add in a couple of sultry dancers and you’ve got the perfect mix for a great party night.
