Dutch project CHRISTMAS METAL SYMPHONY is forming a new line-up for the second edition. New guests are Simone Simons and Mark Jansen (both EPICA). Cristina Scabba from LACUNA COIL and front man Joakim Brodén from SABATON. The show is set on 20th December 2009, 013 Tilburg. The concept comes from Joost van den Broek (REVAMP): bands perform covers, and songs from eachother accompanied by the 'Magnus Opus Rockestra.' The presale already started. The first name to announce is the man with the most stretch in his vocal chords: JORN LANDE. We are honoured to have him on board on this second edition. Through te years, Jorn is recognized as one of the finest rock and metalsingers around with a great solo-career and many solo CD's. Currently he rejoined his old band Masterplan and he is back in the studio with them (after an absence of 4 years) to record their new CD that is scheduled to be released at the end of this year.
Progmetal's topvocalist DAMIAN WILSON is the second name we can announce for CMS 2009. He was (and again is) the voivce of Treshold. Damion is also known for his hard work as guestvocalist and musical partner in various projects like Ayreon, Star One, Rick Wakeman's English Rock Ewnsemble en Gary Hughes. Another part of his talent was demonstrated when he accepted the leading part in the world famous Les Miserables ('98-2000), a careermove that took his fans by surprise. With his voice full of power and passion he managed to be elected 7 times (!) as the best vocalist at the Classic Rock Society UK Annual Awards.
The old-school part of Christmas Metal Symphony this year will be represented by the great small man with the amazingly big voice: UDO (Dirkschneider). Fasten your seatbelts for some of the best metalsongs of the eighties written by the legendary German band Accept. The only problem we have with this, lies in the fact that Accept have written so many great songs that it will be hard to choose. Last year we were so overwhelmed by the power of MATS LEVÉN, that we immediately asked him to rejoin us on this second edition. Mats loved the show concept so much that we can now announce him as the steady factor of the show and official partner of Christmas Metal Symphony 2009!
The Dutch part of the show will be represented by the female vocalist who had to overcome most impressions of festivals and shows this year: CHARLOTTE WESSELS of Delain. All the things that happened with Charlotte and her band are hard to describe; it looks as if the Delain Express can't be stopped! These are the first five names that we can announce, and what a great beginning it is. More names will be announced in the coming time.
