Solar Fake
Consequently electronic, that’s the motto of SOLAR FAKE. “For many years now, I’m dreaming music, which is created entirely electronic”, says Sven Friedrich. People know the vocalist and multi-instrumentalist from his band ZERAPHINE as well as DREADFUL SHADOWS. Now he presents, free after the motto “You can’t stand on just one leg”, his new project SOLAR FAKE. “I like many styles in electronic music like Synth Pop, EBM, Industrial or Electro Rock and I don’t see the point in limiting myself to one particular”, he comments the refreshing mixture of his album debut ‘Broken Grid’. Additionally every track has an extremely infecting and catchy chorus as well as refined verses.

Again this year, the LKA Longhorn in Stuttgart is organizing a Fear Dark Festival, and the billing is not bad at all, especially with Germany's ENDSTILLE and the Pagan Metal group ELUVEITIE from Switzerland. A new band has unleashed its music in the Netherlands and even abroad! Cilice. The band was formed after N3uk!, Oprhanage and Smogus split up. The members of Cilice are: Daniël de Jongh (vocals), Theo Holsheimer (guitars), Remko van der Spek (guitars), Philipp Moser (drums). If you like Messugah, Dillenger Escape Plan and Mike Patton you will surely like this new Dutch metal band!After touring in Europe and even Brazil they will go on a tour around Europe again starting this Friday at the Rambler in Eindhoven. 4 years after their DAC charting 2nd album "H20", the Belgian electro commando Nebula-H returns with the 3rd and final chapter of their "H" trilogy. And it will be a Big Bang as the new material can easily be situated between the "H" debut album (inc. the massive "Twilight Zone", "White Light" and more) and "H20" (feat. "Mobilis in mobile" and "Portrait of a soul"). The album also holds the first new material from the band's new main songwriter Noa, known from that other Belgian EBM formation Propulsion. Mika Goedrijk (THIS MORN' OMINA) from his side focused his expertise on the production aspect of the album this time resulting in material that reveals a harsher tone and a straighter attitude which is more or less reflecting the 'rage' feel that the band has been going through over the last 2 years. The band's most recent new material was tested out last month as support for Hocico and was extremly well received resulting in various concert bookings.- Details

To celebrates the band's 10 anniversary XPQ-21 is giving away a 37 minute medley compiling what the band has been about in the last decade. According to Jeyênne you could well summarize the past 10 years with the following: 2 relationships busted, 3 friendships fucked up, 1 finger broken, 10 band members worn out, 4 labels wasted and countless microphone stands deformed. All in all 10 years of ups and downs, 10 years of fights against companies, wannabe managers and music systems and 10 years of pleasure and pain. We wish the band another 10 years. Current band members include Jeyênne, Martin Hillebrand, Moritz Zielke and Alex Gsell. XPQ-21 was formed by Jeyênne and former member Nicque, who left the band August 4, 2003.
