Assemblage 23's "Binary" single has debuted at the #21 spot on the Billboard Single Chart, a chart that tracks the sales of singles released in the U.S. This is the highest chart position a Metropolis Records artist has achieved so far with the exception of Mindless Self Indulgence. Previously, Assemblage 23's "Let the Wind Erase Me" had peaked at #17 on the Billboard Dance Singles chart, which only charts sales specifically for dance-oriented artists, but this is the first time the band has made it onto the actual mainstream Singles chart. The single is expected to appear on the Dance Singles Chart, as well so the band says. Congratulations to Tom Shear! source: www.side-line.comside-line.com

It has become the latest fashion for musicians: getting fans to play in their video. This time it's Placebo who are recruiting fans to star in the video for their newest single "Running Up That Hill", a cover of the famous Kate Bush song. Here is what should you do in order to feature in the video: submit single-camera video clips of yourself singing the Kate Bush cover. It's that simple. Fans can download an instrumental version (a very basic one) of the song and lyrics at Motionbox.com/placebo and later on upload their video there as well. - Details
