Due to the cancer diagnosis of SCHANDMAUL singer Thomas Lindner, the Folkfield Festival had to be postponed by a year, to 2024. After several gruelling surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments, Thomas Lindner is finally returning to his band. His determination and enthusiasm are strong, and the band is incredibly excited to have their captain back on board. Welcome back, Thomas!

THE SMILE emerged in the midst of the pandemic, and their debut album ‘A Light for Attracting Attention’ already revealed the harmonious musical connection between Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood and drummer Tom Skinner. When Yorke’s still magical voice overlays the tracks, the trio reaches unheard-of heights. This is why THE SMILE are by no means an extension of the RADIOHEAD cosmos, but were initially a very independent attempt to bring song ideas from the loneliness of lockdown to life through a finely assembled band.
