It’s been a long time for the DOVES. All in all 4 years have passed, since their last studio album went straight to #1 of the UK albums chart. Now, they’re back to prove to fans and critics, their waiting for new material since February 2005 wasn’t in vain. The new album carries the title ‘Kingdom of Rust’ and is probably the most adventurous, most intimate, most driving, and most diverse album of the DOVES. In the blogosphere, heavy speculations began circulating about the return of the duo from Manchester, reaching their climax last week, when the band, during their first interview with the NME - that’s already calling ‘Kingdom of Rust’ one of the 10 most important albums of 2009 - talked about the last 18 months of their works in a studio, situated in an old farmhouse near Cheshire.- Details

A hybrid between departure and ass kick outrage and masterstroke, coupled with breaks, cutting off your oxygen supply, sharp-edged riffs with the combined rage from within. That’s expecting you on the self-titled debut of APRON. Where others just “write” crossover on the cover in big letters, APRON fill that catchword with sense, soul, and style-transcending songwriting! Instead of structuring their songs with common formulas, these lads are lateral thinkers and players. ‘apRon’ unfolds slowly, but unstoppable and reveals, song after song, new faces of its psychotic character. “Violence is our art!” is the band’s credo!- Details

Chaos rules! Somewhere, the overcharged butler Bastille is rushing through the chambers of the Coppelian manor in an attempt to collect broken cello bows, bitten-through clarinet straps, torn-out double-bass strings and splinters of batons, stumbles across empty absinth bottles and a checkerboard. From the sestet’s wide garden of lust, the dull bang of two revolvers sounds; another duel between Max Coppella and Le Compte Caspar, arguing about the advantages of seventh and major third; a typical day in the house of COPPELIUS? We don’t know. The interested listener, however, might be delighted about secret insights into the Coppelian ‘Tumult’ at http://www.coppelius.eu/.- Details

It’s just become official: DEPECHE MODE will present ‘Wrong’, the first single from the new album ‘Sounds of the Universe’ as a world premier at the Echo Awards. Here’s what Dieter Gorny, CEO of the German Phonographic Academy, says about the performance of DEPECHE MODE:“DEPECHE MODE significantly coined pop music since the 80s, adding new, exciting accents to the present day, which easily and seriously bridge between past and present of the pop music. That the band’s exclusively presenting the first song of their long-anticipated new album at the Echo Awards is a great honour for us.”
