The Bloodstock team are delighted to announce that both BLIND GUARDIAN and CRADLE OF FILTH have been added to the bill for Bloodstock Open Air 2009. The pair will co-headline one day of the festival and the event will mark the ONLY UK shows of 2009 for both bands!
Following Blind Guardians unfortunate cancellation in 2007, the Bloodstock Open Air team have responded to constant demand from the festivals core fans and brought the band back to Bloodstock at the earliest possible opportunity.

We received following announcement by the promoters:“Hello folks
It is with sad feelings that we have to announce that Infest 2009 will not be taking place.
As previously announced, the Student Union complex is closing down for 12 months for a major refurbishment, which led to a search for alternative venues. We had hoped to use a suitable alternative area in the main Bradford University building but unfortunately the university management have not been able to confirm this in time for us to prepare properly for the gig. Because of this delay, we're now at the stage where we simply do not have enough time to make the gig work this year. We're very disappointed and frustrated as you can imagine, but we've decided to to take this opportunity to have a well-earned rest.

David Byrne has issued a firm response to widespread internet rumours about reforming Talking Heads. The band, who split in 1991, have only played together once since then, taking to the stage in 2002 to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Speaking to Metro and other media, Byrne said he has little desire to reunite the band properly: "We did have a lot of bad blood go down. That's one reason, and another is that musically we're just miles apart. I'm also not keen and it's unlikely to happen (...) I don't need the money badly enough." Add to this that Tina Weymouth has been critical of David Byrne in the past, describing him as "a man incapable of returning friendship" and that he doesn't "love" Frantz, Harrison and herself.- GOTHIC FESTIVAL 2009 - Warm-up Show case 27th June
