Wave Gotik Treffen 2009
Like every year, thousands of Gothic fans get together in Leipzig to listen to their favourite kinds of music. Of course, it's time for the annual Wave Gotik Treffen! The biggest Gothic festival of the world is coming up and it's surely gonna be as great as always. Like every year, many bands and artists will play all over Leipzig to show their great music. And of course, there will be other events like art shows and shopping markets, too. All kinds of music will be played like Gothic, EBM, Industrial, Ambient, Neofolk, Synth Pop and Goth-Metal.

Leaether Strip covers Depeche Mode and Lili Marleen on new album 'Aengelmaker'Claus Larsen has revealed the details of his upcoming album "Aengelmaker" which is now available in pre-order via Alfa Matrix. The album is inspired by the story of the Danish female mass-murderer Dagmar Overbye who was convicted of murdering at least 25 children between 1913 and 1925. She ran an advert in the newspaper where she offered to find adoptive parents for mothers in need of money. She actually murdered them the day they arrived and cremated them in her fireplace. During her trial, all the truth about her own abused childhood resurfaced. Her story inspired Danish solo-artist Claus Larsen to write "Aengelmaker". How can one forget his/her own abuse? How can one go through the hatred towards minorities? These questions resurfaced Larsen's own deep buried memories to haunt him again.

The CD comprises 14 songs from the past 16 years. The timeless songs, chosen for this compilation are the essence of her always distinctive soul music, with world hits like ‘Why’, ‘Walking on Broken Glass’ or the Grammy Awarded ‘No More, I Love You’s’. Furthermore the collection comprises two new songs, specially recorded for this album. Penned by KEANE singer and front man Tom Chaplin is ‘Pattern of Life’, which displays all the features of an ANNIE LENNOX classic at first listen.
