Isn't that surprising? The weather and the temperature seems to please everyone. It all looks like we will be having a promising summer full of experiences. We will do our bit.
Though the good weather is a good reason to do some barbecue or go for the beer garden our forecast has obviously been close to reality. Ticket sales are still going extremely well and not too many tickets are left. So you better play safe and order your ticket right now as long as there is some cash left due to the new month. Doing so will keep you from ending up being without a ticket in the end or trying to get a more expensive one on ebay. At least for the time being it looks like there will be no more tickets available after the end of May. Still tickets can be purchased for 70,- EUR incl. parking, camping and bus shuttle in our shop at http://www.summer-breeze.de/ or directly at http://www.silverdust-shop.de/. You can also approach one of the numerous ticket counters throughout the country to get hold of your ticket.
Meanwhile the updated version of the Festival ABC has been put online. There you will find everything interesting about the festival, how to get there and many other things as usual. Most of your queries will be answered just like this. But have a short look yourself.
Despite that the bands for our newcomer stage will be announced shortly. Together with the Metal.de boys we are currently viewing and judging the piles of applications. As soon as possible we will introduce the top 20 to you. By your voting we will then again find out the top five who are to play the party tent to compete for the opening slot on that following Thursday. We'll keep you informed.
Once more we would like to draw your attention to the fact there is a strict glass prohibition on the entire SUMMER BREEZE site. Any bins and boxes made of glass you better leave at home. The same goes for pottery and everything that may break in shards. This is also for dishes in your mobile camping homes. Possible shards in the grass will cause serious problems to us as we may not be getting these areal again the following year. Bringing other forbidden items will cause an extended delay at the check in stations. You will be best off to leave any forbidden gear at home. Once more we advice to read the Festival ABC in which you can find detailed information regarding. It is in your own interest, really, you take these prohibitions serious as it not only for your safety, but also for a fast procedure at the check in stations. You leaving those things at home enables us to proceed with the highest speed possible.
As mentioned previously the weather is really to go out and it is about time to open up the festival season somewhere else. On a last minute notice we would once more like to bring back the WAS SOLL DEATH festival to your minds. This is to take place on the first weekend in May (May 2nd) on the Abtsgmuend Festplatz, the former SUMMER BREEZE area. That day HEAVEN SHALL BURN, EISREGEN and HACKNEYED will create the right mood. Who else will be playing and any further info to be found at www.myspace.com/wassolldeath. A perfect start off for the open air season 2009 which cannot be topped.
At www.youtube.com/summerbreeze1997 you can now find the official you tube channel of SUMMER BREEZE. There you can find most of the official clips and trailers of the recent years and from time to time we will be adding new ones, too. Who wants to recall the past or needs to renew any forgotten impression is darn welcome to visit us there. A perfect drug to kill time until August.
