METAL CHURCH made great progress in recording their meanwhile 9th studio album and already finished 18 songs. The CD with the working title “The Present Wasteland” will be released via SPV on 6th June 2008. Tour request from the US, South America and Europe already have arrived but nothing is decided about that yet.
There are many reasons Rob Halford is described as the “Metal God” ‘because there are only a few who added to mint the image of the Heavy Metal the way he did. After Halford stood on top of JUDAS PRIEST for 19 years, he left the band at the beginning of 1992 to form the band FIFGT in the summer of the same year. A powerful, dynamic group that created a new and groundbreaking sound for the Metal Genre.
The spike is sharpened again. On 7th December 2007, the once in a lifetime and legendary performance of the SCORPIONS - on which the band goes on a journey in time through their own history with their former fellows Uli Jon Roth (Guitar), Michael Schenker (Guitar) und Herman Rarebell (drums) - was released on a DVD called ‘Live At Wacken Open Air 2006: A Night To Remember - A Journey Through Time’.
The official Yazoo website has announced the European dates for the "Yazoo Reconnected Tour". The tour will coïncide with the reissue of both Yazoo albums as remastered versions in a 4 disc box set. The set will not only feature the stereo remasters and 5.1 mixes of the classic albums "Upstairs At Eric's" and "You And Me Both" but also a disc with B-sides and remixes and a a DVD featuring an exclusive short film with new interviews from Vince Clarke and Alison Moyet. Added as well to the DVD are the videos for "Don't Go", "The Other Side Of Love", "Nobody's Diary", "Situation (1990)" and "Only You (1999)".

And it’s been worth waiting, as this collection is full of big names, interesting newcomers and exciting remixes. Even more than its two predecessors, this sampler shows the variety of the electronic genre: Representatives of the dark side such as Oomph! or [:SITD:] meet 80s chart heroes Yazoo and Kim Wilde, ambient master Moby and Electroclash by Ladytron. Futurepop veterans Apoptygma Berzerk and Covenant contribute for the first time on “elektrisch!”. The promising insider favourites include Mind.In.A.Box, Universal Poplab and Emmon.
