Scars on Broadway
SCARS ON BROADWAY is the long-awaited collaboration of SYSTEM OF A DOWN guitarist Daron Malakian and drummer John Dolmayan. The same-titled debut album, produced by Malakian will be released in Germany in August. The exclusive concerts in Cologne (27th June) and Berlin (28th June) will give the fans a little foretaste and the unique chance to experience SCARS ON BROADWAY live for the very first time in small clubs.

The brothers Johann and Oskar Bernövall from Uppsala (Sweden) wanted something to do back in 2005. Inspired by early punk like New York Dolls and Sex Pistols and early 80s stuff like Joy Division, they put a band together. Years of strange gigs (often with 2 or 3 people in the audience) and musical evolution has led to where we are at now.The first self-titled EP is produced by Kristofer Jönsson from Jeniferever and released autumn 2006. The second EP No Spark was recorded in a strange garage in the summer of 2007 and was released the same fall. The two new songs for the EP-Compilation 'No Spark (Extended)' are demos recorded by the band, as a example of what is and what will be. But no one knows what tomorrow will bring...

Paradise Lost, Anathema
It was just one week ago that PARADISE LOST released their new DVD ‘The Anatomy of Melancholy’. But that wasn’t just an ordinary release for this band which is known to be the creator of a whole new genre: The Gothic Metal, a mixture which appeared for the first time on the album ‘Gothic’ in 1991. Since then a lot of time has passed and a lot of albums have been released, culminating up to the release of their eleventh album ‘In Requiem’ back in 2007. I fear I’m getting a bit Off-Topic right now… As mentioned before this was no ordinary release for the band, it was a gift to the fans to celebrate their 20th anniversary and for this special occasion, the band will play a few hand selected anniversary shows in Europe. The last of those three concerts has just been confirmed and will take place at the Kulturfabrik in Krefeld in mid September.
