The story of this band began in 1997 when Felix Räuber, Bernhard Wenzel and Uwe Pasora founded a school band with the interest for guitar music. The musical landslide came at the beginning of this millennium from the stadium of learning on how to treat their instruments to the more experimental, inspired by Post-Rock from Chicago and some adventurous. The local success grew. At the same time the guys build up a studio and got into the electronic stuff and did some Laptop Gigs as well. It was during that time, when the final band name was chosen “Polarkreis 18”.
