Dear friends,
I wish you all a nice advent season without stress, tranquil festive days and a happy New Year.
As an x-mas-present and in a way in anticipation of the fourthcomming Album, which will be released during the next year, we’ll give you the chance to download free of charge an exclusive song from December the 6 th until December the 14 th. The song will reveal a bit about the style of the new Album. It will be more electronic and partly more gloomy, but the typical elements of Angelzoom will be maintaint. But you should listen yourselves. I hope that the new song will please you. You can send your opinion per e-mail or you may use the guest book.
Work on the new Album is progressing well. 6 tracks are almost ready and 7 additional ones are on the best way. We will present 13 songs on the new Album.I can not reveal much but I can say that this time I will present some interesting duets. On my side will be again Bernd Wendlandt from Valicon Producer Forum who will be responsible for the production, the sound and the music.
I hope you will remain anxious.
I hope you will remain anxious.
Greetings from Angelzoom

The immortal 4AD label celebrates its 25th anniversary in spectacular style with the essential budget priced 2CD compilation "1980 Forward - 25 Years Of 4AD" exploring the highways and byways of the label's legendary history. While 4AD will remain forever associated with the ambient swirls and fairy-tale vocals of the Cocteau Twins and This Mortal Coil, in its first decade it also introduced the world to Bulgarian choral music, worked at the cutting edge of American underground rock music with Throwing Muses, The Pixies and Red House Painters, and even tasted unlikely pop success when Colourbox and A R Kane collaborated (as M/A/R/R/S) on the groundbreaking house collage "Pump Up The Volume", a UK number one single. Later, after The Breeders had taken the world by storm with "Cannonball" and "The Last Splash", the label could be found releasing rootsy Americana by Tarnation and Mojave 3 and exploring quirky electronica from Iceland's Gus Gus and Birmingham's Magnétophone, as well as enjoying fruitful long-term relationships with artists like Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry (Dead Can Dance), Kim Deal, Kristin Hersh and Tanya Donelly, all of whom continue to record for 4AD. Out now on Nilaihah Records is the rather tasteful "Muscle and hate - a tribute to Nitzer Ebb" CD. This new Nitzer Ebb tribute CD was the result of the joined forces of Sebastian Komor (of Icon of Coil, Monofader, Moonitor) and XP8, complete with Doulas McCarthy-esque vocalist Paul Toohill (of XP8). In related XP8 news, the band is already planning their next club attack teaming up with such remixers as Grendel, Moonitor, Mindless Faith, Plastic Noise Experience, Reaper, Implant, Angels & Agony, Mortiis, Dope Stars Inc., Spiritual Front and more. The Azoic from their side are ncluded on the XBox/Konami Entertainment video game release "Dance Dance Revolution: Ultramix 3". The Azoic contributed with the track "Conflict (Turmoil mix)". Invisible Ballet has in the meantime officially announced their identity, the project is nobody else but Rebecca and Ryan Coseboom of Halou (formerly on Nettwerk and Bedazzled). GASR is hard at work on developing their second album for Nilaihah, tentatively titled "Reptile". 15 demo tracks have been composed so far, representing "a more aggressive yet still melodic and infectious sound for the band", who expect to whittle the tracks down to around 10 cuts. Null Device are in the studio working on their third album, recording everything from Spanish Flamenco guitar to Indian Dholak. They also welcome Elizabeth Scheef to their live lineup on keyboards and percussion and are still looking to tour in Spring 2006. Null Device (along with their live guitarist's solo projecvt, Dark Clan) have also contributed remixes for Caustic on their debut album due out on Static Sky Records. And finally, after much consideration, Distorted Reality recently signed with Scanner of Dark Dimensions in Europe. Their delayed album "Daydreams and Nightmares" will finally see the light of day on both Nilaihah and Scanner in March '06. Source: Newsletter
