The band had its first major success 12 years after it formed, in 2003 with ‘Sing the Sorrow’ reaching #5 on the Billboard 200. The album was supported by singles ‘Girl's Not Grey’ and ‘The Leaving Song, Pt. II’, both featured in the top 20 of America's Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart in 2003. It went onto receive Platinum certification with over one million units sold in the US. The band returned in 2006 with ‘Decemberunderground’, which featured the hit single ‘Miss Murder’. Both achieved #1 in their respective charts, the Billboard 200 and Hot Modern Rock Tracks. The album also featured ‘Love like Winter’, which attained #4 on the Modern Rock charts. It reached as far as Australia, where it grasped Gold certification, and also achieved this in the United States, where it has sold in excess of 900,000 copies.

DREAM THEATER, one of the most significant and innovative bands representing a sophisticated Progressive Metal style, is coming to Frankfurt. Formed in 1985 under the name MAJESTY, the American formation made its breakthrough with the second long-player `Images and Words´ in 1992. Soon, DREAM THEATER acquired a world-wide fan base and convinced its critics who attested the band an excellent reputation according to the musically perfect playing.

Bloodstock Open Air
It's all excitement in the UK as we have less than a month to go before the biggest independent heavy metal festival in the British Isles kicks off with the legendary Bloodstock Open Air. Situated conveniently in the Midlands and close to all major travel routes, this festival is truly huge and offers bands as diverse as Europe, Cradle of Filth and Katatonia. It's hardly surprising that this festival has something for every type of rock fan.

D-A-D, Heaven’s Basement
Starting in the early 1980s under the name DISNEYLAND AFTER DARK, D-A-D released the first EP in 1985. After the commercially successful long-player `No Fuel left for the Pilgrims´ (1989), the Danish Rock band had to change its name as the Walt Disney Company had exercised a veto. Henceforth, the musicians from Copenhagen have been known as D-A-D.

Monday 27th July sees the release of “We Come in War”, the third full-length album from Italian Black Metallers ORCRIST. Founded in 2000 by drummer GRAV, ORCRIST has a history of working with Norwegian Black Metal bands, having previously released a split 7” with ISVIND, and recently released “Black Destroyer”, a split 7” on Temple of Darkness Records with BEASTCRAFT. The band also contributed not only the intro on the ILDJARN tribute album “Gathered Under The Banner Of Strength and Honour”, but also wrote the lyrics, with ILDJARN’s blessing, for “Unknown Harmony” a previously un-named track on the same album.- INNOCENT ROSIE - live at Royal castle
