Goth-metal band LEAVES' EYES will perform on the Metal Female Voices Fest on 18 October 2009. There is a special acoustic gig to promote their new upcoming album 'Njord.'

There is some news around the death metal prioneers DEATH. After the death of Chuck Schuldiner the music of this unic band became more and more famous among people. There is a new website online with a special message to the fans. http://www.chuck-schuldiner.org/ also to promote his latest CD. This project was originally intended to be a "Contest", however, trying to comply with all of the different laws of so many different Countries, regarding Contests, was virtually impossible OR we would have had to exclude certain Countries. Rather, we made the site a Membership site, the same cost as the original "Contest entry", $25 US dollars.

'Butterflies' album will be released already next month! The exact date is September 18th. As Mauno says, he can't wait to finally share these songs and album with You all! The band also has a new web site up on http://www.sinine.org/. Very soon there will be more pictures uploaded, music samples to listen and lots of other stuff to check out! With their latest masterpiece "Njord", Leaves' Eyes embarks on yet another enthralling journey through the myths and sagas of the North. The strong and sonorous compositions familiar to the band's fanbase have been further developed. The adventure begins with the title track's powerful and somber choruses and orchestra. Fans will find the continuation of the Leave's Eyes hit "Elegy" in the rocking single "My Destiny", which is only one of the many catchy and soon-to-be hits delivered by Liv and her colleagues. Devilishly enticing are the refrains found on "Take the Devil in Me", "Northbound", and "Through Our Veins", the last of which reminisces in the driving beats of the eighties' rock rhythms. Leaves' Eyes' passion for both heavy and opulent sounds harmonizes perfectly with memorable melodies, as in the epic track "Ragnarok", while "Emerald Island" surprises with heavy double bass passages that are counterattacked by Liv Kristine's haunting vocals. - Details

Not unlike the medieval players' previous album "Aus der Asche", which managed to reach the upper echelons of the German charts, Saltatio Mortis' latest effort promises to storm the charts just the same. "Wer Wind Saet" goes beyond the band's signature enthusiasm, catchy melodies, and passionate lyrics. It combines the best of contemporary and medieval elements to deliver premium Medieval Rock. By skillfully merging modern rock sounds with genuine traditional instruments, such as the bagpipe or hurdy-gurdy, Saltatio Mortis develop an exquisite dance connection that is crowned by the vocals of the charismatic frontman Alea. As a special highlight, legendary metal queen Doro joins Alea on "Salome", lending a mysterious and exotic touch to this track.
