Placebo
The history of the international alternative rock band PLACEBO began in 1994 at that time still under the name ASHTRAY HEART which they changed, however, fast into PLACEBO because the other one seemed too long to them. Since their last world tour which they began in February, 2006 in Thailand and which led them one and a half years all around the globe has changed a lot: In October 2007 the long-time drummer Steve Hewitt left the band because of musical and personal differences. He was substituted in August 2008 with Steve Forrest who played before with the Californian punk band EVALINE.

After a series of delays, SHINING’s long awaited sixth album “VI/KLAGOPSALMER" will finally hit the streets on the 15th June. Released by Osmose Productions the album will also be available in Double LP and Double Picture LP versions. Two tracks from the new album are currently streaming on the SHINING’s MySpace page at www.myspace.com/shininghalmstad

The time seems to have come. Summer has taken over. At least the weather forecast leaves that sort of impression. Let's pray to god (or whoever you use to pray to!) it will not change until the end of August. Time will tell.

This year, the Backstage Open takes place for the first time on the area besides the Backstage Club in Munich. It's an Open Air lasting for two days. The organizer promises beside a lot of Rock’n’Roll also anything else what an Open Air fan needs - food and drinking is also provided.
