Corvus Corax and support Zwielicht
The band CORVUS CORAX, founded in 1989 in Eastern Germany, knows like nearly no other band how to take their listeners into the Middle-Ages. In 1996 with the single ‘Tanzwut’, a project rather unusual for them originated because they used also electronic elements for the first time and with it, the band TANZWUT was born. But as CORVUS CORAX they remain by her historical instruments like hurdy-gurdy, Trumscheit, zinc, shawm and others and in the meantime they celebrate international success.

Planning the SUMMER BREEZE means again and again things do not work out the way we please. Therefore we have to announce even a couple of band cancellations. Firstly DAATH have cancelled all European shows for the month of August including their festival appearance.

Amy MacDonald with support Milow
The singer and song writer AMY MACDONALD, born in 1987 in Scotland, already reached number 1 of the UK charts with her debut album ‘This is the Life’. She received several golden as well as platinum records in Germany for it as well. In 2009, she was honoured with the ‘Echo’ award in the category "most successful newcomer International".

Russ Ballard
The career of the British rock musician, composer, music producer, singer and guitarist Russ Ballard began already in 1963 with the ROULETTES. Then he still played in other bands, until he began his solo career and writing for other artists in 1974. Some of the best known hits coming from him are ‘So You Win Again’ by HOT CHOCOLATE, ‘Hearts on Fire’ by ROGER DALTREY and ‘You Can Do Magic’ by AMERICA. ‘Voices’ and ‘Two Silhouettes’ are better known songs of himself. His last album up to now is ‘Book of Love’ and appeared in 2006.

The Arvika festival is known to be a synth-pop festival with a lot of synth-pop bands playing at the festival but the last couple of years other bands has played there as well and the festival has gotten a wider audience. The festival started in 1992 and has grown with each year and now it is one of the larger festivals in Sweden. The last couple of years they have had around 25,000 visitors.
