This often-cited genre label “Post-Hardcore” is, musically speaking, the purest wonder bag. It takes you from the gentlest whispered lyrics, which are presented on ambient soundscapes and delicate acoustic guitars, straight to overwhelming outbursts of screaming rage - sometimes within just one song. But this is exactly what fans of bands like I PREVAIL from Rochester Hills in the US state of Michigan appreciate.
Brian Burkheiser (vocals), Eric Vanlerberghe (vocals), Steve Menoian (guitar) and Gabe Helguera (drums) have been on the road in this musical genre since 2013 - and have made it to a size that reaches far beyond the genre. They have been Grammy-nominated twice, have gold and platinum records on the shelves and still manage to surprise old and new fans with their music. In May, I PREVAIL can be seen live again at four German concerts in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Munich and Hamburg.
