Area4 Festival
From its very beginning in 2005, the AREA4 Festival was a big one among the variety of festivals out there. On its debut in Oberhausen, more than 10,000 people celebrated stars out of the Rock and Alternative scene like SYSTEM OF A DOWN and NINE INCH NAILS just to name a few.

Sound, Photo, Video
Taking pictures for private usage is permitted. Professional audio- and video recording equipment are not allowed on the festival grounds and any abuse will be prosecuted.
Glass bottles, food & drink
Glass or plastic bottles and cans (tins) are not allowed on the festival ground but you may bring a small lunch package and “Tetrapaks” (up to 1.5 litres). Tap water is available for free.
Sanitary Facilities
The sanitary camps contain showers and water toilets. Besides, there are plenty of portaloos on the camping area and the festival site.
Facilities for handicapped persons
Sanitary facilities for handicapped persons are available. At the festival ground, there will be a special area suitable for wheel chairs on site please take a look to the signs.

Liability
Every visitor is liable for any damage he causes.
Children
Children under the age of 8 should not visit a Rock-Festival. Little ears can be injured easily. Persons under the age of 18 need a written permission, signed by their parents. Parents are responsible for their children. If teenagers under the age of 16 get caught drinking or smoking, they risk to be sent home.

Ticket forgers
Be aware of ticket forgers. Don't buy tickets at street-vendors. These tickets may be forged. No admittance to the festival with forged tickets!
