NIK KERSHAW - ‘You’ve got to laugh’-Tour 2009

His greatest hits ‘Wouldn’t it be good’, ‘The Riddle’ and ‘I won’t let the sun go down on me’ made pop history in the 1980s and have been essential classics on the radio up to now. Born 1958 in Great Britain, NIK KERSHAW started his career as a child. He learned to play the guitar, the bass guitar, the keyboard and the drums and entered a stage for the first time at the age of 10. After playing in several bands, he signed his first solo deal in 1983. The two following long-players ‘Human Racing’ (1984) and ‘The Riddle’ (1985) were rewarded with platinum and made him famous all over the world.

At the beginning of the 1990s, the all-round talent concentrated on working as a producer and songwriter, so he collaborated with artists such as Elton John, Cliff Richard, Bonnie Tyler, Ronan Keating and Tony Banks. NIK KERSHAW decided to revive his solo career by releasing the album ‘15 Minutes’ (1998) that was followed by the long-players ‘To be frank’ (2001) and ‘You’ve got to laugh’ (2008). The latter also names the upcoming European tour NIK KERSHAW will be on from February to May this year. One of his three German concert dates is going to take place at the Batschkapp in Frankfurt am Main on 15th May 2009.
