Bands

ASP
ASP, a German Gothic band from Frankfurt / Main was formed in 1999 and named after its lead singer Asp (short for Alexander Spreng). ASP on stage are Asp (mastermind, songwriter and singer), Matthias Ambré (producer, guitar player, backing vocal), Tossi (bass, backing vocal) and Oliver Himmighoffen (live drummer). In the last years ASP evolved into a shooting star of German gothic scene.

EISBRECHER
After singer Alex Wesselsky split up with his former band colleagues from MEGAHERZ in 2003 due to artistic differences, he founded EISBRECHER together with another ex-member of MEGAHERZ Noel Pix. The release of the first and self-titled album in 2004 caused a heavy stir, when the band added to blank CDRs to the release as an incentive to copy the album and as a statement against the criminalization of the end-customer through the music industry. Two years later, in summer 2006, it was finally time for the second album ‘Antikörper’ to satisfy the hunger of the fans for more material. This album even reached position 85 of the German Album Charts. Right now, the band is preparing for their next strike. EISBRECHER is Alexander “Alexx” Wesselsky (vocals), Jochen “Noel Pix” Seibert (lead guitar), Jürgen Plangger (guitar), René Greil (drums), Maximilian “Maximator” Schauer (keyboard) and Martin Motnik (bass). http://www.eis-brecher.com/

LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE
LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE is a gothic metal band from Germany. But their stylistic aesthetic has evolved over time. While basically in a death doom rooted gothic metal, they have progressively changed their style to a more mainstream gothic style with the late albums. http://www.lacrimas.com/

TERMINAL CHOICE
TERMINAL CHOICE is a German Electronic rock band. It was formed by singer Chris Pohl (also of Blutengel, Tumor, Pain of Progress and owner of the Fear Section label) in 1993. Besides Chris, the original line-up included Jens Gärtner who provided the drums and loops. In 1997, Manuel Selling was added to the line-up to provide the guitars. In 2000, Manuel left the band and Gordon Mocznay took over on guitar and bass guitar. A year later in 2001, Louis Manke joined the band as well, adding a second guitar to the band. http://www.blutengel.de/tccontent/2010/home.html

STAUBKIND
STAUBKIND is a solo German rock band led by Sven "Louis" Manke. The name is German and means "Dust child". STAUBKIND was founded in 2003. The band took inspirations from artists such as Oomph, Zeromancer, Linkin Park and Evanescence.

SUBWAY TO SALLY
The band SUBWAY TO SALLY, founded in 1992, distinguishes itself by hard rock- and metal music which has become quite something special by means of medieval melodies and instruments long ago. Nevertheless, on their new album the traditional instruments move further into the background. http://www.subwaytosally.com/

LETZTE INSTANZ
1996 was the foundation year of the band LETZTE INSTANZ which arose again from the group RESISTANCE and took care in the beginning still under this name of a record contract. Then they changed their name to avoid mistakes. http://www.letzte-instanz.de/

SALTATIO MORTIS
The band was formed in 2000. All members play medieval instruments, but their music is more than just medieval. At the beginning they were announced as a “medieval punk band”. Alternately they release albums full of original medieval songs or rock songs. The last album ‘Aus der Asche’ came out in 2007. http://www.saltatio-mortis.com/

TANZWUT
TANZWUT mainly consists of the members of CORVUS CORAX. But while latter ones mainly play on medieval markets, first ones are at home in the clubs where they have electric power to perform their medieval music with added electronic elements. The idea of making electronically boosted medieval music was born in 1996 but the first album was released three years later in 1999. ‘Tanzwut are Wim (bass guitar, bagpipes, back voc, glow-trumscheit), Hatz (keydrum, E-drums, giant-tara), Castus (bagpipes, shawm, trumscheit, voc), Teufel (vocals and bagpipes), Ardor (bagpipes, shawm, trumscheit, voc), Norri (drums, programming electronic sounds) and Patrick (guitar, back voc, bagpipes, trumscheit). Ardor - who played together with the others in CORVUS CORAX - has entered the band after Koll.A left the band. http://www.tanzwut.com/

FAUN
The German band FAUN has been founded in 1999 by Oliver Pade, Birgit Muggenthaler (SCHANDMAUL) and Werner Schwab, but as time passed, it experienced some line-up changes. The present constellation of the group exists since 2001, and today Oliver Pade (vocals, different instruments like harp or lute) is the only founding member remaining in the band. Apart from the two female vocalists already mentioned, FAUN also features Rüdiger Maul on percussions and Niel Mitra doing the samples/synths. http://www.faune.de/

COPPELIUS
Nothing particular is known of this mysterious band. If you take a look on their homepage you can find a “concertography” dating back until the early 19th century but the first known appearance of COPPELIUS was the farewell tour of THE INCHTABOKTABLES where they had the support slot. They also performed as support for Mila Mar, Mutabor, Fiddler’s Green and others in 2003 & 2004. COPPELIUS is: Max Coppelia (vocals, clarinet), Nobusama (drums), Graf Lindorf (vocals, cello), Comte Caspar (vocals, clarinet), Sissy Voss (contrabass) and Bastille (vocals, servant). http://www.coppelius-band.de/
