On February 22, 2019, the debut album, ‘The Melancholy Movies’, by LIGHTHOUSE IN DARKNESS will be released via Winter Solitude Productions. It is the joint project of singer Helen Vogt and songwriter / producer Sascha Blach. Helen Vogt was for many years the front woman of the German Gothic Metal band FLOWING TEARS, which also due to of Vogt’s charismatic voice celebrated international successes. Sascha Blach has released numerous eclectic albums between Metal, Gothic and Rock over the years with bands like EDEN WEINT IM GRAB, AETHERNAEUM, THE HALO TREES, DESPAIRATION or TRANSIT POETRY. Together, the two created a thoroughly cinematic album that combines elements from Trip-Hop, Electronica and soundtracks to a very own sound that sounds longing, soulful and nostalgic at the same time. Fans of MASSIVE ATTACK, PORTISHEAD, GOLDFRAPP, DEAD CAN DANCE, LANA DEL REY or WOODKID could be seen as target audience. The digi CD can now be pre-ordered via the web shop of www.wintersolitude.de and contains three exclusive bonus tracks compared to the digital version, which will be available via Spotify, Amazon, iTunes and Bandcamp. Recently, another song, ‘Monochromatic Memories’, was released in advance after the first two songs, that have been introduced online, already received great feedback.
