Even before SUEDE debuted with their first self-titled album in 1993, front man Brett Anderson was discovered as new favourite of all cover desks in UK’s music press. This androgyny aura, combined with the dandy-like rebel’s attitude, gave back the long missed face to the grunge-tossed British rock and brings back memories of two masters of theatrical great emotions BOWIE and MORRISSEY. SUEDE’s songs and sounds were the soundtrack for England before Britpop and BRETT ANDERSON was its unique voice. His second album ‘Wilderness’ was recorded in only 7 days with a minimal line-up. Besides Anderson on piano and guitar, the singer is only supported by cellist Amy Langley and singer Emmanuelle Seigner. ‘Wilderness’ touches the soul and surely is the perfect soundtrack for autumn.
