The Washington born guitarist JEFF AUG enchants with Indian / Oriental chords seamlessly building into pulsating funk grooves. He performed over a 1,000 concerts. As opener for e.g. RUSH, QUEENSRYCHE, ALBERT LEE, STAR SOUNDS ORCHESTRA, SOFT MACHINE, ALLAN HOLDSWORTH and FREAKY FUKIN WEIRDOZ, he convinced with his solo acoustic guitar program. After the tracks for the new ANNE CLARK album ‘The Smallest Acts of Kindness’, Jeff, who co-composed half of the album had lots of material left, so he re-worked the unused drafts to completely arranges compositions for solo guitar.The album we’re talking about all the time here is called ‘Living Room Sessions’ and is going to be released on a quite special day for Jeff; his birthday on 13th March 2009, some time after ANNE CLARK’s ‘Smallest Acts of Kindness’ tour with 45 shows in 9 different countries. You might wonder where that title comes from. It’s actually referring to the recording sessions in the living of one of Jeff’s friends: The pianist and composer Murat Parlak (YEHUDI MENUHIN, HARALD SCHMIDT, BRANFORD MARSALIS, ANNE CLARK)
For the promotion to ‘Living Room Sessions’, Jeff has something very special up his sleeves. He’ll play a European Tour in 1 Day, specifically 6 shows in 6 different countries and all this in 24 hours. This ‘European Tour’ has been officially acknowledged by the Guinness Book of Records as an attempt to set up a world record in the category ‘Most concerts performed in different countries in 24 hours’ and only 3 days later he’s embarking on a tour with the Jazz Fusion guitar legend ALLAN HOLDSWORTH.
