With their debut album, Italy’s IS RAIN offers an stimulating, well-produced album walking on the paths of Industrial Rock. ‘Trees Never Sleep’ is surely a solid debut album by good musicians, offering fine guitar solos besides a good programming and quite good songs. And then comes the but… The band too often imitates other great bands and structures of the genre without finding their own way. They more emulate sounds than they create something new. Too often, they remind of bands like MARILYN MANSON, ROB ZOMBIE or NINE INCH NAILS. But well, this could be also a quality sign for many who are into those bands…
Conclusion: IS RAIN’s debut album includes many and various influences but misses out some originality.
