IMPERIAL STATE ELECTRIC is a Swedish rock band formed between 2008 and 2010 with their debut album being released in 2010. This rock band rose from the ashes of THE HELLACOPTERS and was formed by Nicke Andersson, Dolph de Borst, Tobias Egge and Thomas Eriksson. The sound settles between classic rock (BEATLES, KISS and more in the mix) and modern garage rock like THE HELLACOPTERS. Their new album is named ‘Reptile Brain Music’ and as the name implies you should stop thinking, grab a beer and turn this fucker up loud. This albums got what it takes to become an instant classic, just play it on repeat and every party will be epic, two examples for the faint-hearted: the song ‘Underwhelmed’ sounds like a KISS classic right out of the mid-seventies (really!!!) and ‘Dead Things’ bears a resemblance to stuff from the BEATLES.
Conclusion: If you got any taste for classic rock just listen to this record, buy it, love it and be good to it.
