From old to new, this evening with WALLOP, a four piece from Offenbach, Hessen. Originally formed in 1983 and disbanded one year after their full-length debut ‘Metallic Alps’ in 1985. WALLOP returns with their original 1985 line-up thanks to Stefan Arnold (ex-GRAVE DIGGER) who reunited WALLOP. Sound-wise it is classic 80s Metal with good vocals, mid to up-tempo songs skilfully played. Technically this is really good it just fails to excite me.
Conclusion: The song ‘Crash, Bang, Wallop’ really stands out but only because it has a “funny” part in it and man I hate funny parts in heavy metal songs (really).
