Meanwhile in Russia... the second tune of tonight is SUNSET BRIGADE from Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. These Groove Metal outfit was formed in 2017 and ‘Sunset Brigade’ was their first EP. The three-piece plays a modern very US Thrash / Groove Metal influenced kinda music. Lyrically dealing with everyday stuff like social inequalities and injustice (Thrash is a political thing very often) SUNSET BRIGADE will appeal to the crowd that bang their heads with stuff like SACRED REICH or EXODUS even if their lyrics are different every here and there (phrasing-wise and technically). Guitars and drums are well executed and the melodies are catchier than the typical modern thrash bands play them nowadays.
Conclusion: Even though this is not entirely my cup of tea I can say these guys will have their audience among us metalheads. Check the out and tell me what you think in the usual places.
